Wonderful pants

Fantastic pants I absolutely love this material. These pants are great for all aspects of Dad life from inside the office to the mountain bike trails to working on my car, river expedition load outs, yard work or trail building. I own pants from all the popular high end outdoor brands and these are my favorites for every day wear no matter what I am doing. Yes the price stings at first but worth it in my humble opinion, especially if you luck out and catch them on sale. Fit is true to my normal waist size and inseam length. They did take a while to ship due to them being hemmed to order but worth the wait. Gonna splurge on the dura stretch cargo pants soon. Very glad I found 1620, not just for workwear but for my active lifestyle

Very comfortable pants

Probably the most comfortable work pants I’ve ever worn. They are vey stretchy. The material does concern me a little about their fire resistance though. Seems like if they were to get hit by some sparks they would melt pretty easily.

Son loves the pants

I bought these for Christmas for my son who is an Ironworker. He absolutely loves the pants. He said they are the best, most comfortable pants he owns.

Setting the standard for versatile work pants.

I have gone through a lot of work pants at my current job in the past six years. The kicker is, I work as a home appliance sales consultant, which is not an overly physical job. There are days where I will be lifting heavy appliances and moving them around the showroom, and other days where I might have to do some basic maintenance/electrical work in the showroom (I'm a former electrician). Other times, I might need to run out on a quick delivery/installation job. I don't need anything crazy, but something to stand up to light to moderate punishment. I have gone through about 12-15 pairs of chinos, khakis, even some work pants from another major brand. None of them have even lasted me one year on the job. These just might.

PROS
The fabric is lightweight and extremely stretchy, but also incredibly durable. I have a habit of ripping the crotches in all of my pants, but I cannot foresee that happening to these pants, due to how much these stretch.

The fit is perfect. I'm a weird body type, I wear a 38 waist and a 30 inseam, but regular pants end up looking really baggy on me, so I usually get slim fit pants. These fit perfectly despite them being a modern fit, not slim fit. There's not so much room in the legs that I look like a 90's goth kid with baggy pants, but not so tight that I look like I'm wearing my wife's pants.

They look incredible. As noted before, I work as an appliance sales consultant, so even if I'm planning on going out to do a few deliveries or installations, I still need to look professional on the sales floor, and wearing regular work pants can be frowned upon. These are nice and crisp looking but have that slight rugged edge, so they can be worn in an office setting, or out on the road.

Made in the United States. I don't mind paying more for a product if I know it's top-level quality, and that it's helping to maintain American manufacturing and jobs. Even better, I live in New England, and these pants are made right in Massachusetts! Shipping takes no time at all for me!

CONS
The first thing that everyone probably thinks, the price. I'll list it because it may potentially be a barrier for some people. My response is, think about what you're paying for. American manufacturing, which many people really want to see less imported, low quality swill. American jobs, we all want to know that the people making out clothes are being compensated well and treated fairly. Finally, a LIFETIME guarantee. I will pay the money simply to know that it's backed for life.

I could see these pants being a bit baggy on some people. The utility pants and Foundation pants are all available in slim fit, it would be nice to see these available in slim fit as well.

VERDICT
Overall, these pants are unlike any other work pants I've ever owned. They fit perfectly, they're more comfortable than any other work pants I've ever worn, there's room to move around without worrying about ripping the crotch, and they look professional enough for the showroom, and rugged enough for deliveries. If you can get over the price, and understand why these cost what they do, you'll be happy you gave these a try. They're now my go-to work pants, and I will for sure be buying several more pairs!
