I've been looking at this hoodie for a while and decided to pull the trigger. I can see how this one is great in a construction, commercial, residential environment but I happen to be a welder in the refining industry so review is accordingly.

Good
Dig the extra height and the snug fit, large is definitely not your size if your wide around the mid section. I am 5'10" and 215 athletic build. Arms are a bit snug if I wear another long sleeve shirt under it but tolerable. The hood is why I bought it, I can pull it up over the back of my welding hood in high light environments and I don't get any back light in my welding hood.

Not so good (kinda)

The 1620 logo started peeling off after the first wash, might consider embroidery especially at this price point. See picture

Most of my welding is Tig welding and the color started to fade after the first few days. Pretty typical of most colored clothing to bleach out from UV light though.

All in all I dig it, five stars, will probably buy more in the future. Might consider making this to fire resistant standards for working in places that require it.

Bought one for my self to give them a try. Liked it so much, I bought one for all my co workers. Great fit, excellent quality. Worth every dollar. Support American made.

Awesome hoodie overall, definitely believe all the other positive reviews that have been posted here. It’s warm, durable, comfy as can be and looks bad a**. I am 5’9” 165lb broad shoulders Dad bod and the medium is for me, although the sleeves are a bit long (I may have short arms though as sleeve length is a common issue for me). I am usually between a medium or large hoody/jacket depending on what brand and the large full tech work hoodie was way too big for me. I love this hoodie and would purchase again as is; but if I had to suggest an improvement; I would choose to have a smaller hood instead of the large helmet compatible hood, and make the sleeves an inch or 2 shorter. Just a thought for the development teams at 1620 to take your products to the next level- I know this is probably not cost effective for the company but I think customers would be even happier with the 1620 long sleeve tops if there were different sleeve length options. Anyways thank you 1620 for the awesome gear!!
